Witness for Peace is organizing a People-to-People licensed trip that will allow U.S. citizens to legally travel to Cuba. This trip is designed for people who are interested on learning about the Cuban people, their education programs, political and social history, and their historical and fascinating colonial landmarks. Participants will gain insights into Cuba’s life-long education, primary, secondary and universities. The itinerary will include meetings with professionals, families, elected officials, neighborhood organizing committees, and visits to many education sites.

Participants in this delegation will:

  • Learn about Cuban national priorities, such as universal education and health education.
  • Learn about the effects of the U.S. embargo on the Cuban educational system and educational exchange
  • Visits to schools and training centers at all levels to meet directly with many types of Cuban students and professionals
  • Meetings with scholars, musicians, artists and members of arts and culture organizations to understand how Cuba’s unique history has shaped modern life for Cubans
