Have you ever traveled outside of the USA? If you have, have you traveled with a social justice focus?

We live in a globalized world where we are all interconnected in more ways than Meets the eye. Capitalism is an economic system that depends on you buying things, workers being poorly paid (think sweat shops), putting profit over protecting the environment, and trying to hide those things.

The world can be different though. Join us in Nicaragua to engage with people of all ages in social and economic justice dialogues and cultural exchanges, learn about the benefits of fair trade, and have a paradigm-shifting experience that will challenge many of the things you take for granted.

This delegation will have 3 adults leading the delegation and is recruiting mainly youth (ages 15-19). There will be up to 4 spots for youth ages 20-22. The group size will be a maximum of 20.

  • Discover the history of Nicaragua.
  • Visit Managua & the countryside & stay with families.
  • Engage in social justice dialogues and analysis.
  • Learn about the effects of free trade policy and visit a sweat shop.
  • Explore the benefits of fair trade.
  • Understand what drives migration.
  • Visit an active volcano, a national forest, and a lagoon.
  • Have cultural exchanges with Nicaraguan youth.
  • Go to a community health clinic & meet health promoters.
  • Meet with staff at the U.S. embassy.
  • Be inspired to act for justice!
