Five Men Now Hold as Much Wealth as Half of the World’s Population Combined

Wealth has never before in the history of humanity been this concentrated. With people slipping into poverty easier and easier, and the Trump administration working to put more money into the hands of the wealthiest, more people than ever are asking–what about socialism?

So how does a socialist country organize itself to provide services, education, healthcare, food, housing and safety to its citizens in an equitable way? Join WFP as we meet with

Cubans and explore the many ways that this island nation, just 90 miles from our shore, has met these challenges for nearly 60 years in the face of extreme opposition from its neighbor to the north.

Participants on this delegation will:

*Learn the difference between a blockade and an embargo and how this policy has affected both Cuba and the U.S.

*Understand and see how “solidarity’ works and how “resilience” is expressed in everyday activities.

*Visit social programs, meet and dialogue with participants.
