El Padre Melo y la Crisis de Derechos Humanos en Honduras

Padre Melo and the Human Rights Crisis in Honduras

According to the IACHR, Honduras is currently one of the most hostile and dangerous countries for human rights defenders. Human Rights Watch describes military violence as directly targeting journalists, lawyers, activists, and human rights defenders.

People unite on behalf of Berta Cáceres in Washington, DC to protest the U.S. Government’s complicity in human rights abuses in Honduras.

Honduran opposition leaders continue to face police violence while U.S. sends security aid and support to repressive government. State investigations into police abuses and homicides are deterred by systematic corruption while impunity remains at the core of the system.
