Dana Brown, Executive Director
Dana is a proud Mississippian who was drawn to understanding and working to combat the social and economic injustices she perceived around her from a young age. Over the past 15 years her career has been focused on education and activism for positive change in US policy towards the Americas, serving in posts such as the Coordinator of the Committee on US/Latin American Relations, a Peace Brigades International accompanier in Colombia, and most recently, the Executive Director of the US Office on Colombia. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Cornell University and an M.A. in International Relations/Peace Studies from the Universidad del Salvador in Argentina where she was a Rotary World Peace Fellow. She owes a lot of her understanding of the world and creative resistance strategies to the Catholic Worker movement, the SERPAJ community, her time in Palestine, and the mentorship of the late Professor Don Barr, among so many others.
