Witness for Peace is organizing a people to people delegation to Cuba to explore the many facets of the Cuban educational system. This delegation is designed for educators and others interested in learning more about the Cuban educational system at all levels, from elementary to post-secondary. Join us to learn how Cuba has achieve one of the highest literacy rates in the world while also exploring the effects of the U.S. embargo on the island and its people.

Participants on this delegation will:

  • Visit with Cuban students, teachers, and professors involved in all levels of education
  • Explore the effect of the U.S. embargo on Cuba and its educational system
  • Learn about other Cuban national priorities including healthcare
